WORLD KIDNEY DAY EVENTS 2008 Thursday 13th March 2008 is World Kidney Day. Patients, carers and health care professionals in many countries around the world will all be marking the day and we would like you to join them. By attending or organising an event, you can help spread the word and make your input in raising awareness about kidney disease in the UK. Events are already planned in the United Kingdom, nationally and at local level. If you already know of one being planned, please get involved. If not, why not think about organising one of your own? Let us know about your event and will post it on this site. This health day aims to increase public awareness of the importance of our kidneys and promote preventative measures, early detection and treatment of chronic kidney disease. The more events we can have on World Kidney Day, the more success we will have in drawing attention to the need for people to take care of their kidneys and for more care to be provided for people who have kidney disease.
