COMMUNITY EVENTS 2007

A variety of community based activities centred on major urban areas took place this year

FREE BLOOD PRESSURE TESTING AT YOUR LOCAL STORES

We encouraged local community to tome to these local stores where we were offering free blood pressure testing run by qualified nurses.

As well as free blood pressure testing people could:

• Get an advice on early detection and prevention of chronic kidney disease
• Receive information materials about your kidneys and chronic kidney disease
• Sign to receive DVD "LIVING WITH KIDNEY DISEASE. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW. THE REALITY CHECK WITH DR CHRIS STEELE", which is presented by Dr. Chris Steele from ITV, This Morning.
• Sign to receive the ABLE DVD which informs about the kidney disease amongst the South Asian and African-Caribbean communities.
